Slanted is a video production company based in Staffordshire, UK. Originally called Tom Ratcliffe Media after its founder, the business was going through a period of growth and wanted a new brand identity that reflected its bold approach.
What's in a name?
Dumb was tasked with creating the brand name that would help the business move away from being viewed as a lone videographer to a dynamic, high-end video production company - passionate about bringing unique stories to life.

What we did:
We stayed true to the concept of 'unique perspectives' and created a logo that captured a sense of movement and positivity... Oh, who are we kidding, we stuck the logo on a slant!
The slanted symbol - an abstract 's' shape - embodied that same feeling of action, while also acting as a graphic device that could be used to frame a scene or create a focal point.
Understandably, motion was essential for a video production company, so animated versions of the logo were created, but it was important to ensure that movement was prominent in everything. Brand patterns were created to provide an energetic backdrop, even in static applications.
We created a whole suite of branded assets, from the website to proposal templates, vehicle branding to uniforms.
Launch support / holding page / socials / motion graphics
We helped launch the brand with a reveal/teaser campaign on social media and event branding for the live launch event.
The rich text element allows you to create and format headings, paragraphs, blockquotes, images, and video all in one place instead of having to add and format them individually. Just double-click and easily create content.
A rich text element can be used with static or dynamic content. For static content, just drop it into any page and begin editing. For dynamic content, add a rich text field to any collection and then connect a rich text element to that field in the settings panel. Voila!
Headings, paragraphs, blockquotes, figures, images, and figure captions can all be styled after a class is added to the rich text element using the "When inside of" nested selector system.
